Ngài không oán hận, không nguyền rủa, mà cầu xin Cha tha thứ cho những kẻ đã đóng đinh Ngài.

Cũng chính lời ấy đã chạm đến tấm lòng của Erica Kirk.
Khi chồng bà (Charlie Kirk) bị một thanh niên sát hại, thay vì nuôi lòng thù hận, bà đã công bố sự tha thứ cho người đó, trích lại chính câu nói của Chúa Giê-xu.
Hành động của bà là một tấm gương sáng về đức tin sống động, là bằng chứng của tình yêu Thiên Thượng vượt trên đau thương.

Tha thứ không có nghĩa là quên đi nỗi mất mát, nhưng là phó thác nỗi đau cho Đức Chúa Trời, và tin rằng ân điển Ngài đủ sức biến đổi cả những tấm lòng cứng cỏi nhất.
Như Chúa Giê-xu đã tha thứ trên thập tự, Erica Kirk đã chọn con đường của tình yêu và sự bình an — một sự lựa chọn phản chiếu rõ ràng tấm lòng của Đấng Cứu Thế.

Lạy Chúa Giê-xu, cảm tạ Ngài vì tấm gương tha thứ trên thập tự giá.
Xin cho con học biết yêu và tha thứ như Ngài đã làm.
Khi con đối diện với tổn thương, xin ban cho con tấm lòng mềm mại để chọn con đường bình an thay vì oán hận.
Nguyện đời sống con trở thành chứng nhân cho tình yêu cứu rỗi của Ngài.

THE STORY OF ERICA KIRK  - FORGIVING LIKE JESUS —

“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” — Luke 23:34

These words spoken by Jesus from the cross are among the most powerful and moving in all of Scripture.
In His deepest suffering, He did not curse His executioners or seek revenge — instead, He prayed for their forgiveness.
That moment revealed the heart of God — a love that forgives even in the face of cruelty.

Erica Kirk lived out that same spirit of forgiveness.
When her husband (Charlie Kirk) was killed by a young man, she chose not to be ruled by anger or hatred.
Instead, she publicly forgave the man who took her husband’s life, quoting the same words of Jesus:

“Father, forgive him, for he does not know what he has done.”

Her act of forgiveness became a living testimony of faith,
a clear reflection of the transforming power of God’s love and grace.

L’HISTOIRE D’ERICA KIRK - PARDONNER COMME JÉSUS —

« Père, pardonne-leur, car ils ne savent pas ce qu’ils font. » — Luc 23:34

Ces paroles de Jésus sur la croix sont parmi les plus émouvantes de toute la Bible.
Au lieu de condamner ses bourreaux, Jésus a intercédé pour eux, demandant au Père de leur pardonner.

Erica Kirk a vécu cette vérité de manière bouleversante.
Lorsque son mari a été tué par un jeune homme,
elle a choisi de pardonner à son agresseur,
et a cité les mêmes paroles de Jésus :

« Père, pardonne-lui, car il ne sait pas ce qu’il fait. »

Son geste est un témoignage vivant de la foi chrétienne,
une démonstration que l’amour divin est plus fort que la haine et la douleur.
