God Meant It for Good – A New Perspective from Joseph’s Story
The story of Joseph moved me deeply. He was treated so badly by his own
brothers — sold into slavery, falsely accused, and forgotten in prison. Yet,
when he finally stood face to face with the very ones who had hurt him, he
didn’t seek revenge. Instead, he said:
"You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good" (Genesis
50:20).
That one verse opened my eyes.
It reminded me that God is always working, even through
injustice, betrayal, and pain. Nothing is wasted in His hands. Just like He had
a bigger plan for Joseph, I believe He also has a plan for my life — even when
things don’t make sense.
This truth gave me a new perspective:
Trials are not just times of suffering — they are soil for something sacred.
God can use the very things that hurt us to shape us, grow us, and position us
for His greater purpose.
Joseph's life shows me that forgiveness is possible, that trust in God
is never in vain, and that our darkest moments can lead to divine outcomes.

Prayer: Trusting God Through Trials
Dear Lord,
Thank You for the story of Joseph that opened my eyes. When I face
injustice, pain, or misunderstanding, remind me that You are still working —
even when I can’t see it.
Help me to trust Your plan, remember Your presence, and see
purpose in my pain. Teach me to forgive like Joseph, and to live
with hope, believing You are turning my trials into something good and
holy.
I place every trial in Your hands. Let them become soil for something
sacred — all for Your glory.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
